Advantages of Google Instant

Google now comes up with “Google instant” which will allow users to get results before without even typing your query completely. This might be difficult for online advertisers and act expensive to bid too but has a good impact as Search engine optimization.

From marketingvox.com:

It has become widely assumed that the introduction of Google Instant is going to boost search prices for advertisers. The reasoning is this: Because the user could choose a search result before finishing writing out his or her query, advertisers may be forced to bid more for more common terms. Maybe so, but maybe not, says Greg Sterling, principal of Sterling Market Intelligence. “I don’t think we should prematurely jump to conclusions. Let’s see how this has played out in a few weeks or months from now,” he tells MarketingVOX. Instead of pricing rising, they could fall as marketers double down on their organic search processes in response, he suggested.

Google instant has now made marketers to bid intelligently in terms of retargeting, win-back situation, pay per click etc. with this long tail searches are also not anymore popular when you get results with a keyword.

All about Truck exhaust systemsOne of the simplest and most effective power enhancers in the context of heavy vehicles such as trucks is a new exhaust system. This is simply because addition of an aftermarket exhaust provides the optimum value for money irrespective of whether you opt for a complete exhaust system or just a cat-back system. It is also because vehicle performance is optimized to a significant extent with performance truck exhaust systems.

If you are going to swap your factory exhaust system with a high performance exhaust system, there are some things that need to be considered.

It is worthwhile to note here that a free flow exhaust system has the ability to reduce the amount of resistance and back pressure by facilitating a smooth passage for gas emissions. Since has emissions pass easily and uninterruptedly through all stages of the combustion cycle, gas mileage of the vehicle is increased considerably. In short, a vehicle with an efficient exhaust system runs quiet and smooth besides leading to fuel economy from an exhaust modification.

It is always recommended that you buy exhaust systems from a reliable manufacturer so that you can always be assured of perfection and performance. This is because only an eminent manufacturer will spend enough resources to make sure that all phases of exhaust system testing including engine operation, data acquisition, report generation, and frequency analysis that are all important rudiments of a good exhaust system conform to established laws and policies. This is important so that your drives are not only safe but comforting and without any troubles.

By emphasizing upon proper exhaust system functioning, you can not only save some good money, increase vehicle performance, and improve gas mileage but you can also prevent engine damage and protect valuable lives. After all, there is nothing better than a good decision and good decisions do pay in the short and long runs.

Indian companies creating jobs in the US

Dismissing US president Barack Obama’s argument that Indian IT companies are responsible for rising unemployment, Indian IT companies have said that they are actually creating huge employment in the US.

It was also said that it is actually the shortage of talent in the United States that is forcing them to import talent from India.

From Economictimes.indiatimes.com:

Although India has become synonymous with outsourcing, Indian companies created nearly 60,000 jobs in the US between 2004-09 through nearly 500 investment and acquisition deals worth $26.5 billion.

This fact was highlighted in a report, “How America Benefits from Economic Engagement with India,’ released by influential Congressman Jim McDermott in the presence of India’s Deputy Ambassador to the US Arun Singh.

The study comes on the heels of US President Barack Obama ending tax incentives to US companies that move jobs outside the country. Instead, his government would route the incentives to those creating jobs inside the US, he had said last year.

“We will stop letting American companies that create jobs overseas take deductions on their expenses when they do not pay any American taxes on their profits,” Obama had said.

The report released yesterday investigates one specific aspect of globalisation of the American economy, namely, the United States-India business relationship.

It is worth noting here that the Indian software companies make a payment of $ 1 billion each year to the US government in the form of social security for their Indian IT professionals going for a short term contract in the US.

Lehman Brothers haunt W Street rebuilding effortsInvestors are questioning the investment-banking model and prospects of Lehman Brothers Holdings after the same collapsed under $613 billion of debt two years ago.

Only Goldman Sachs Group and JPMorgan Chase, two of the 10 banks with large capital-markets business units, are trading close to their price on September 12, 2008, the last trading day before Lehman filed for bankruptcy.

From Timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

“The fundamentals of their businesses aren’t going to be anywhere near as good as they were pre-Lehman,” said Jon Fisher, a portfolio manager at Fifth Third Asset Management in Minneapolis, which handles more than $18 billion. “Every aspect of the business has been damaged.”

The collapse of Lehman, the fourth-biggest US securities firm when its 158-year history ended on September 15, was the most dramatic and controversial event in the financial crisis. The bankruptcy and the economic damage that ensued reduced the number of competitors in the banking industry and resulted in new regulations that set limits on banks’ activities.

The earnings outlook for the world’s biggest Wall Street banks remains pallid compared with profits in 2006, the year that preceded the onset of the credit crisis. Estimates for 2011 earnings per share are lower than 2006 for all except JPMorgan, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Citigroup’s 2011 EPS is forecast to be 89% lower than in 2006, while Bank of America and Zurich-based UBS AG will probably fall more than 60% below 2006 levels on a per-share basis, estimates show.

Citigroup has lost 78 percent while Bank of America has lost 59 percent and there is more than double the 10 percent drop in Standard & Poor’s 500 Index over the same period.

Internet map service licenses granted by China for selected operatorsThirty one Chinese and joint venture operators have been granted a first group of Internet map service licenses by China after authorities tightened market access amid concerns that the booming market for the service might undermine state security.

The operators included a national-level map publisher, several map service providers affiliated with major Chinese portals such as Baidu.com and Sina.com and obtained a class-A license from the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping.

From in.news.yahoo.com:

It is not clear whether Google which recently renewed its license to operate in China after a protracted spat with the government over privacy laws has obtained the license to operate maps. Operators who obtain a class-A license will be allowed to conduct services including map searching and locations, marking geographic information, downloading and copying of maps, and map transmissions and quotations.

Class-B licenses will restrict companies to offer services of map searching and locations, as well as geographic information marking, state run Xinhua news agency reported. All Internet map services providers will have to apply for a license, while those operating without the license will be prosecuted in China in accordance with the law, an official from the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping said.

The official did not elaborate on the deadline for license applications. Foreign-owned or foreign-invested Internet firms can apply for the license in the capacity of joint ventures or through cooperation with Chinese businesses, he said.

A joint venture between Nokia and New Alliance, Nokia Alliance Internet Services Company Limited, which is part of the Shanghai Alliance Investment Limited, is among the businesses that have obtained a class-A license.

FACEBOOK DOMINATES GOOGLENowadays, studies have shown the rise in use of facebook among users rather than Google search engine. The figures show that facebook users spend 9.9 percent time of web surfing time and for Google only 9.6 percent time of web surfing time.

From timesofindia.indiatimes.com:

US Web surfers are spending more time socialising on Facebook than searching with Google, according to new data from researchers at comScore Inc.

To be sure, there’s wiggle room in these estimates, which comScore bases on a combination of reports from a panel of two million users around the world and data from websites’ servers. But the time spent posting photos, updating status messages and scrolling through news from friends has at least grown to rival just about everything else people do online.

People now really don’t bother to surf news site since all the updates are shared through the network and commented. These social networking sites have now taken the charm of search engines and news sites among the youth.
